Work Day at the Thousand Steps

IT'S TIME TO SPRUCE UP THE THOUSAND STEPS FOR SPRING! We plan to do clean up the Dinky House, work on water mitigation, and do a small scale trash pick up. More specifically, we will be raking leaves out of the dinky house, filling in the engine pit in the dinky house, clearing springs next to the dinky house of leaves and blockage, and lopping branches from trees and clearing away foliage as needed on the side trail to the view of Mount Union and on the main trail up to the view of Mapleton. We may also be completing other minor maintenance tasks depending on the number of participants. We will meet at 1pm at the kiosk about 200 yards up from the highway at the Thousand Steps to begin the day's work. All ability levels are welcomed and very appreciated! Please bring water and snacks for yourself. Tools and garbage bags will be provided.
