SST Community Hike: Greenwood Spur

10:00 AM - 2:00 PM Greenwood Furnace State Park Huntingdon, Pennsylvania 16652

The hike starts at the Greenwood Furnace State Park headquarters and goes north along the Greenwood Spur to the end of the SST where it meets the Mid State Trail. This hike may be considered difficult as the first two miles are a climb to the Greenwood Fire Tower and then it's two miles down to Alan Seeger Natural Area. The next two miles are along Detweiler Run for a total distance of 6.85 miles. You'll see a lot of green for this St. Patrick's Day! Be sure to wear sturdy shoes and bring plenty of water and snacks. Some may prefer to use hiking poles too.
