NOTICE 1: Closure
The Standing Stone Trail is currently closed between Sheepskin Hollow Road and Vanderbilts Folly from October 1, 2021 to January 1, 2022. The Standing Stone Trail Club is actively working to find an alternate route, but in the meantime, please avoid this section of the trail. For any questions, please email trailinfo.sstc@gmail.com.
NOTICE 2: Temporary Trail Relocation
NORTHBOUND HIKER NOTICE: We apologize for the inconvenience, but due to a landowner concern called to our attention on March 1, 2017, the Standing Stone Trail is temporarily closed north of SR522. Northbound hikers are not permitted to cross the small concrete bridge over Little Aughwick Creek. Instead, hikers are to proceed southbound on SR522 a distance of 0.8 miles to Sinoquipe Road, then along Sinoquipe Road about 2.5 miles to Ramsey Path on the right. Ramsey Path intersects the SST in 0.5 miles.
SOUTHBOUND HIKER NOTICE: We apologize for the inconvenience, but due to a landowner concern called to our attention on March 1, 2017, the Standing Stone Trail is temporarily closed south of Ramsey Path. Southbound hikers are not permitted to cross the small concrete bridge over Little Aughwick Creek about 2 miles ahead. Hikers are to proceed west on Ramsey Path about 0.5 miles to Sinoquipe Road, turning left onto Sinoquipe Road for about 2.5 miles to SR522. Turn left on SR522 to intersect the SST in 0.8 miles, and you may then continue southbound on the SST by turning right.
